Purchased a 2005 CR-V from Jeff @ Meredith Motors. Can't say enough good things about the process. Although I needed to do some of the legwork (trip to bank for loan, arranging insurance card), it was pretty painless. They did all the NYS work, and I never had to go to the DMV or to get the car inspected (it was done for me). Jeff was excellent to work with: patient, not pushy, let the car speak for itself. They have a good eye for decent used vehicles, and seem to know what will sell and what won't. My car was a very good price on a vehicle that in no way looks or acts like its as old as it is. A very pleasant first experience with a non-franchise used car dealership. I'd buy from them again.

I had an amazing experience with Meredith Motors, especially with my dealer, David, who helped me through the process. The jeep was in great condition when I bought it. I even went to a Jeep dealer to confirm that prior to purchasing the vehicle. I have been through many big dealers and by far Meredith Motors had the best service. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Doing the paper was quick and easy and got to drive home my car in no time. I highly recommend this dealer. Unlike most small dealers, they do inspect and repair the cars before putting them out on the lot. Highly recommend!

I had a very positive experience with Jeff from Meredith Motors. After looking at cars at 4 different dealerships and feeling like a fish trying to break away from a hook, he made me feel really comfortable. It is a small place, so I think it may be better for someone to know what he or she is looking for before driving out there, but every car he does have is good quality and fairly priced--it was nice not to be overwhelmed with the selection, and it felt kind of like a mom and pop shop, which was pleasant. The Mazda that I did purchase was checked out thoroughly, and ready to drive off the lot, which I did not see with other dealers I went to. The car was a great deal, as it was listed around $1,200 under market price, and Jeff does not make any claims or promises about the car that are not valid. He really wants his customers to be happy and enjoy the car they purchase; I am, indeed, very happy.

I had always wanted a Toyota Tacoma, but had never found one with low miles, in good shape, and at a price I was looking for. And as a woman out shopping for a truck, I was a bit intimidated by the process. Luckily, Meredith Motors had such a truck, and I feel I was lucky to be able to work with them. Dave and Jeff were great, by far the best customer- service experience I have ever had buying a vehicle, used or new. I felt they were honest, straightforward, and genuinely interested in selling me a quality vehicle. And the truck was already looked over and inspected before being listed for sale, which was not my experience with other dealerships. I also took the truck to be inspected by a Toyota dealership, and it passed their exam with flying colors. So thanks again to Meredith Motors for a nice vehicle and purchase experience!

I bought my car from Meredith Motors because they have their cars gone through before they put them up for sale. That says a lot about them!!! I had visited a few other dealers before going to Meredith Motors and was surprised at the lack of quality control from other small dealers. Other dealers cars were out of gas, not clean and still needed repairs before they said I could purchase the car. That seemed backwards to me!! When I got to Meredith Motors, I was really surprised - all of they cars I was interested in were ready to go home that day. When I asked the gentleman Dave Delaney how soon I could take the CRV I was interested in, he replied "you can take it home right now" That sold me! I will absolutely be going back next time I need another car.

My college-aged daughter was in need of a dependable commuter car. We are from the Oneonta, NY area and we don't have a very wide selection of good quality used cars, so we planned a day of car shopping around Albany. With a budget of $5000-$8000, we stopped at every used car dealership on State Street and Central Avenue from Schenectady to Albany. After either not feeling comfortable with the used car dealers that we spoke to and/or not having confidence in the cars they showed us, we made a trip to Meredith Motors' Troy location. After seeing a number of cars that we were interested in and that fell well within my daughter's budget, we also made the drive to Meredith's Ballston Spa location. We arrived at the Ballston Spa location shortly before their posted closing time, but co-owner Dave Delaney did not rush us through the process of inspecting 3 of the vehicles that we were most interested in. I felt very comfortable dealing with Dave and he seemed to be very upfront and honest when answering questions. Since we were actually dealing with one of the co-owners, we didn't have to play the back-and-forth with the Sales Manager price negotiation game that is so often the case at larger dealerships. Dave gave us his rock-bottom price upfront and didn't try to up-sell us into a vehicle or price-level that would not work for my daughter. We test drove 3 cars, all of which appeared to be very solid for the price-point. My daughter opted for a 2008 Honda Fit, which Dave priced $1,595 cheaper than a competing State Street located dealer. The car was clean, well detailed, newer tires, received a recent brake job, and had fresh fluids. The remainder of the sales process, including the transfer of the license plates and registration, was just as pleasant. All of the paperwork and the car were 100% in order when we arrived for pick-up, at which point we had the opportunity to deal with Jeff, the second of the 3 co-owners. This was an excellent experience over-all and we came away feeling as though we had received a tremendous value and great personalized service from both Dave Delaney and Jeff. The sale went so well that my daughter has already been recommending Meredith Motors to her friends. A huge thank you!

If you are tired of the big box car buying experience, try Meredith Motors. In buying my car I dealt with both brothers and they are both very low pressure and created a great car buying experience. There was no problem with my taking a car to my mechanic and they went over the list of items that he gave me - nothing catastrophic but they took his concerns seriously and addressed them to my satisfaction. I had been around to a bunch of small local dealers with pretty horrible results. Seemed like everything I was looking at other dealers was being held together with bubble gum. Not the case at Meredith Motors. I went to look at a Civic that they showed online and when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had more then one similar car. I actually ended up buying another Civic they had and picked it up the next day. They even had a spare key made for my before I picked it up. Two thumbs up!!

A 100% great buying experience. I don't have a lot of time due to work, but when I called Jeff about an SUV he had listed, he was more then helpful. He had the vehicle ready for me to drive when I got to the dealership, and it was everything I wanted. I wasn't ready to buy that day, due to wanting the think about it, and In NO way did I ever feel the pressure to buy that you get from other dealers. When I did decide we did the whole deal over the phone, as it's tough for me to get away from work. He even delivered it to me when It was ready. I'm not the person who generally writes a review about something, but my son and I had such a great experience with Meredith Motors that I had to say something. I'm a single mother of an 18 year old boy, and I'm sure we are know that 18 year old's are generally not the best decision makers, especially when it comes to car purchases. Flash over practicality! My son and I set a budget on a used car for him at $10,000, and it was his job to find a practical car to commute to college. Of course he found every sports car within a 50 mile radius, and was dragging me to every dealership to see these cars after work. This went on for almost two weeks! Finally we stopped at Meredith Motors because my son wanted to see a Audi TT that they had. After about ten minutes of him talking with the guys that work there, he was totally off the sports car idea. I was shocked! We had finally stopped at a dealer who wasn't trying to just sell us a car. The gentlemen who works there was asking what he needs the car to do, and if he plays sports, will he drive it year round, what is he budget for repairs..etc. To me surprise, my son started seeing the light. After test driving a few different cars that they had, he decided to purchase an Accord Coupe EXL, and my son absolutely LOVES it! As a mother I couldn't be happier. He is in a safe and reliable car. The other dealers we stopped at didn't take in to consideration his needs for the car, and if it was going to be practical for an 18 year old, they just want to sell you a car.
